Starting March 30, 2017 you can apply for collector plates on modified vehicles built in 1974 or earlier (expanded from 1958), as well as replica/constructed vehicles that resemble a 1942 or earlier production model.
The new application forms for modified collector and replica/constructed collector vehicles will be available as of March 30, 2017. This will include modified ‘muscle cars’ up to 1974

The Porsche Centre Victoria is now the first certified classic Porsche Dealer in Canada. With only three others in North America and all in the USA this is a pretty big deal and is well deserved. On Tuesday Evening they held a celebration event for their customers and staff along with the head of Porsche Canada and Porsche Classic from Germany. The designation means their service and sales staff are now fully qualified to work on and sell classic Porsches. Of course they will happily sell you a new one as well! Photo Gallery…

The Riverside International Automotive Museum was founded by the father-son team of Ray and Doug Magnon to house their extensive collection of Maseratis, Eagle race cars and artifacts from the glory days of Riverside International Raceway. With the untimely passing of Doug last year, the collection is now heading to auction, some in Santa Monica June 25-26 and then in Monterey August 19-20. Read More….

The Alfa Romeo Brand is returning to Victoria. While we have known that for a while a drive by the dealer location indicates it is getting very close. It is expected to open in February 2016 and will be one of only seven Alfa Romeo dealerships in Canada. The Vancouver Island Motorsport Resort has released images of what the clubhouse and pit garages will look like at the new track. The 15,000 square foot building will include a lounge for members, both a small and large meeting and event rooms, and three well equipment garage bays for members to work on their cars. For ten years, the Jensen Interceptor offered buyers an eclectic mix of Italian style, British luxury and Chrysler V-8 power. By 1976, however, inconsistent build quality, coupled with a global economic downturn, signaled the end of Jensen Motors, at least temporarily. Since then, at least four serious efforts have been made to revive the name, and after a four-year legal battle it appears that Jensen, and with it the Interceptor, may again rise from the automotive ashes. – Read More…

Even in its heyday, the concrete surface of the Brooklands race circuit ran uneven and bumpy, causing cars to grab some air at more than 100 MPH on certain parts of the track. These days, more than 75 years after racing ended at the circuit, the concrete that remains has grown rougher and barely able to support any speeds, but with a recently announced $7.2 million restoration, race cars may yet again return to the high banks of Brooklands. – Read More…
